A saddle threshold in aluminum, 5" wide and 1/4" high, that fills the gap between the floor and the door bottom so drafts and water stay outside. The fluted top is ridged rather than smooth, which gives underfoot grip when the surface is wet.
Why the 1/4" height matters
At 1/4" high this threshold meets the ADA Standards for Accessible Design and ICC/ANSI A117.1. It is low enough for a wheelchair to cross without a lip to climb, and low enough not to catch a toe. On an accessible opening that is not a preference, it is a requirement.
What to check before you order
Measure the width of your opening and order the nearest length up. Available in 18", 36", 48", 60", 72", 84", 96" and 108", in Bronze or Mill Aluminum. Flathead zinc-plated screws are supplied.
Longer lengths than those listed can be ordered. They ship by freight because of their size, so contact us and we will quote it.
