The LH3756 is a saddle threshold in aluminum, 7" wide and 1/2" high. It bridges the floor at the opening, closing the gap under the door against drafts, rain and dust.

Why a saddle threshold

A saddle threshold sits flat across the opening in one piece, the simplest and most common type. It fills the gap under the door and gives the sweep or door bottom something clean to seal against.

At this height it meets the ADA Standards for Accessible Design and ICC/ANSI A117.1 — low enough for a wheelchair to cross without a lip to climb, and low enough not to catch a toe. On an accessible opening that is a requirement, not a preference.

What to check before you order

The width of your opening. Available in 18", 36", 48", 60", 72", 84", 96". Order the nearest length up and cut to fit.

The floor either side. A threshold stands 1/2" above the floor, so check the door still clears it and that the height works with whatever flooring meets it.

Flathead zinc-plated screws are included. Longer lengths than those listed can be ordered; they ship by freight because of their size, so contact us and we will quote it.

Door frames made of steel or aluminum are commonly used with this product. Aluminum anti-rust material.
