Key specifications
- Surface-Mounted Rain Drip — fastens to the face of the door, with no mortising into the slab
- Helps keep out dust, drafts, pests, and some sound at the bottom of the door where it gets in
- Shields the bottom of the door and the sweep unit below it from rain running down the face
- No door sweep included — use it over the sweep already on the door, or order a sweep separately
- Mounting thickness of 3/4" (19.05mm) — check that the door face has room before you order
- Mounting height of 1-3/4" (44.5mm) — that is the band of the door the drip cap covers on the face
- Mill Aluminum Finish — bare metal with no plating or paint that can chip, flake, or wear through
- Security fasteners available as an option — call or email if the door needs tamper-resistant screws

Type The style of sweep, based on the sealing material (rubber, brush, silicone) combined with how it mounts
|
|
|
|
|
Seal Material What the seal itself is made of. Silicone stays flexible in both cold and heat temperature extremes; pile brush suits doors that sweep across the seal.

About the brand
Embassy
Embassy is Homebuilders Hardware's premium residential and architectural brand. Designed for builders and homeowners who demand top-tier finish quality, durability, and a refined aesthetic. Backed by our Product Guarantee.
The EC711 is a door sweep with a rubber blade, surface mounted, a rain drip with no sweep fitted. It closes the gap between the bottom of the door and the floor — the single biggest hole in most buildings for drafts, dust, noise and insects.
Why this seal
What to check before you order
The width of your door, and the gap under it. Sweeps run 24" to 144", cut to length. Measure both before ordering — too small a drop leaves the gap open, too large and the sweep drags.
Surface mounted — it screws to the face of the door with the fasteners supplied. No routing, no cutting, and it comes off again just as easily, which is why it is the usual choice for a retrofit.
Screws are included. Options such as fire labels, security fasteners and end caps can be added by request — contact us and we will arrange it.
- Comes with screws (#6 x 1/2″ SMS self-drilling screws)
