About the brand
Lawrence Hardware
Lawrence Hardware has manufactured commercial door hardware since 1876. Its hardware is certified or built to ANSI/BHMA standards. Trusted by contractors, builders, and architects across North America for nearly 150 years.
The LH5000L is a commercial cylindrical lever lockset certified ANSI/BHMA Grade 1, in Brushed Chrome US26D. Built for the doors a business opens all day — offices, classrooms, stores and corridors.
Why this one
Grade 1 is the highest commercial rating a lever can hold. It is the specification for the busiest doors in a building, where a Grade 2 lever would wear out first.
It is non-handed, so the same lever works on a left or right hand door with nothing to reverse. That matters when you are fitting several doors at once and do not want to sort stock by swing.
What to check before you order
Your backset. Choose 2-3/8" or 2-3/4" to match the hole already bored in the door. Measure from the door edge to the center of the bore.
Your door thickness. It fits 1-3/8" to 1-3/4" doors.
The function. Entrance, passage, privacy, classroom and storeroom functions are offered. Match the function to how the door is actually used every day.
Backed by a 10 Year Warranty.
