The EC735 is a door sweep with a solid rubber blade, mortise mounted, for wood doors. It closes the gap between the bottom of the door and the floor — the single biggest hole in most buildings for drafts, dust, noise and insects.
Why this seal
A rubber blade seals tighter than a brush on a smooth, even floor, and it blocks more air. It is the default choice for an exterior door where drafts and water are the problem.
What to check before you order
The width of your door, and the gap under it. Sweeps run 24" to 144", cut to length. The seal drops 1/4" below the carrier, so that is the gap it closes. Measure both before ordering — too small a drop leaves the gap open, too large and the sweep drags.
Mortise mounted — it fits into a slot routed in the bottom of the door rather than sitting on the face. It takes more work to install and it looks like part of the door once it is in.
Screws are included. Options such as fire labels, security fasteners and end caps can be added by request — contact us and we will arrange it.
