The LH89L01A is the outside trim for an LH8800 Series exit device. The exit device lets people push their way out from inside; this is the part that lets an authorized person get back in, with a key and a lever, from the outside.

Why the long escutcheon

The lever and the cylinder sit together on one long escutcheon plate, 9 7/16" tall by 2 15/16" wide, in cast alloy. A single plate means one prep in the door instead of two separate cutouts, and it covers the marks left by whatever was there before. It is rated Grade 1, heavy duty — the highest commercial rating, which is what you want on the outside face of a door the public uses.

What to check before you order

Your exit device. This trim fits our LH8800 Series exit devices, which includes the LH8810. It will not fit an exit device from a different series, so check which one you have before ordering.

Which trim you want. The same lever is offered on a small rosette instead of this long escutcheon. Choose the escutcheon when you want the larger plate, or when it has to cover the marks left by previous hardware.

Your door thickness. It is built for a standard 1 3/4" door.

The rim cylinder is included, along with the through bolts and screws, so nothing else needs sourcing. Offered in Stainless Steel (US32D) and Polished Brass (US3).
