Knob or lever
A lever can be opened with a forearm or an elbow, which is why levers are specified where accessibility matters. A knob needs a grip and a turn. Choose a knob when the look calls for it, or where you specifically do not want the handle catching on clothing or being pushed open accidentally — a storeroom or a utility door.
What to check before you order
Your backset. Choose 2-3/8" or 2-3/4" to match the bore already in your door.
The function. Entrance, passage, privacy and storeroom functions are offered.
Fire rating. Available UL/cUL listed as fire rated, so it can go on a rated corridor or stairwell door. Ask for the rated version if you need it.
Non-handed, so one lockset fits a left or right hand door. Backed by a 10 Year Warranty.
