The LH8016-HOA replaces the standard arm on an LH8016 door closer and adds a hold-open function. The LH8016 does not hold a door open on its own — this is the part that makes it do so.
Fit it where a door needs to stay open for a stretch and then go back to closing itself: a delivery entrance, a corridor while equipment moves through, a room being cleaned. It suits regular arm, top jamb and parallel arm installations. Confirm your closer is an LH8016 before ordering, since the arm for the 800 and 5000 Series is a different part.
