The convex face curves outward to meet the door, and the fixing goes through the rubber bumper — the simpler installation, with the screw hidden behind the bumper. 2 1/2" across. Meets ANSI/BHMA 156.16.
Choose convex when the door handle or lever strikes the wall at a point you can catch head-on. For a fixing that does not pass through the bumper, the EHG240B mounts on a backplate instead.
