About the brand
Embassy
Embassy is Homebuilders Hardware's premium residential and architectural brand. Designed for builders and homeowners who demand top-tier finish quality, durability, and a refined aesthetic. Backed by our Product Guarantee.
This is a holder, not a stop. A lever drops from the door face to the floor when you press it with a foot, and the door stays where you put it until you lift it again. Cast brass or bronze. Meets ANSI/BHMA 156.16.
It holds against normal use, not against wind. On an exterior door in a windy spot you want a closer with a hold-open arm instead. Needs a floor it can grip and enough clearance under the door for the lever to swing down.
