Key specifications
- Weatherseal: a nylon brush — the sealing element itself, so match it to the floor at that opening
- Brush bristles ride over uneven floors and thresholds — they sweep the gap closed without dragging or binding
- Seals the gap between the door and the threshold — keeping out dust, drafts, pests, and some sound
- Available in Mill Aluminum, Dark Bronze Anodized — so the sweep is not the odd piece of hardware on the opening
- Mounting thickness: 1/16" (1.9mm) — the depth figure to check against the door before you order
- Mounting height: 1-7/8" (47.6mm) — the vertical figure to check before you order, not after it arrives
- Sweep height: 1-1/4" (31.8mm) — the figure to compare against the gap under the door you are sealing
- Options: Security Fasteners - (Call or email for details)

About the brand
Embassy
Embassy is Homebuilders Hardware's premium residential and architectural brand. Designed for builders and homeowners who demand top-tier finish quality, durability, and a refined aesthetic. Backed by our Product Guarantee.
The EC769 is a door sweep with a nylon brush, surface mounted. It closes the gap between the bottom of the door and the floor — the single biggest hole in most buildings for drafts, dust, noise and insects.
Why this seal
A brush sweeps over an uneven floor that a solid blade would catch on, and it drags less, so the door stays easy to open.
What to check before you order
The width of your door, and the gap under it. Sweeps run 24" to 144", cut to length. The seal drops 1-1/4" below the carrier, so that is the gap it closes. Measure both before ordering — too small a drop leaves the gap open, too large and the sweep drags.
Surface mounted — it screws to the face of the door with the fasteners supplied. No routing, no cutting, and it comes off again just as easily, which is why it is the usual choice for a retrofit.
Screws are included. Options such as fire labels, security fasteners and end caps can be added by request — contact us and we will arrange it.
- Comes with screws (#6 x 1/2″ SMS self-drilling screws)
