Key specifications
- Weatherseal: a pile brush — the sealing element itself, so match it to the floor at that opening
- Brush bristles ride over uneven floors and thresholds — they sweep the gap closed without dragging or binding
- Seals the gap between the door and the threshold — keeping out dust, drafts, pests, and some sound
- Available in Mill Aluminum — so the sweep is not the odd piece of hardware on the opening
- Mounting thickness: 1-13/32" (35.6mm) — the depth figure to check against the door before you order
- Mounting height: 1" (25.4mm) — the vertical figure to check before you order, not after it arrives
- Sweep height: 3/16" (4.7mm) — the figure to compare against the gap under the door you are sealing
- Options: Security Fasteners - (Call or email for details)

Seal Material What the seal itself is made of. Silicone stays flexible in both cold and heat temperature extremes; pile brush suits doors that sweep across the seal.

The EC7451 is a door sweep with a dense pile brush, mortise mounted, for hollow metal doors. It closes the gap between the bottom of the door and the floor — the single biggest hole in most buildings for drafts, dust, noise and insects.
Why this seal
A brush sweeps over an uneven floor that a solid blade would catch on — tile with grout lines, a worn threshold, carpet at a doorway. It also drags less, so the door stays easy to open.
What to check before you order
The width of your door, and the gap under it. Sweeps run 24" to 144", cut to length. The seal drops 3/16" below the carrier, so that is the gap it closes. Measure both before ordering — too small a drop leaves the gap open, too large and the sweep drags.
Mortise mounted — it fits into a slot routed in the bottom of the door rather than sitting on the face. It takes more work to install and it looks like part of the door once it is in.
Screws are included. Options such as fire labels, security fasteners and end caps can be added by request — contact us and we will arrange it.
- Comes with screws (#6 x 1/2″ SMS self-drilling screws)
