- Pile brush sweep on an aluminum bar — surface mounts to the door face with screws, no routing

The EC7178 is a door sweep with a dense pile brush, surface mounted, self-adjusting. It closes the gap between the bottom of the door and the floor — the single biggest hole in most buildings for drafts, dust, noise and insects.
Why this seal
A brush sweeps over an uneven floor that a solid blade would catch on — tile with grout lines, a worn threshold, carpet at a doorway. It also drags less, so the door stays easy to open.
What to check before you order
The width of your door, and the gap under it. Sweeps run 24" to 144", cut to length. The seal drops 1/4" below the carrier, so that is the gap it closes. Measure both before ordering — too small a drop leaves the gap open, too large and the sweep drags.
Surface mounted — it screws to the face of the door with the fasteners supplied. No routing, no cutting, and it comes off again just as easily, which is why it is the usual choice for a retrofit.
Screws are included. Options such as fire labels, security fasteners and end caps can be added by request — contact us and we will arrange it.
